Photo submission and upload guidelines
This page is a checklist for providing a photo, not a tutorial for taking or selecting one. For help choosing an image, read How to Choose a Memorial Photo.
Use this checklist before submitting a photo for a personalized product. Follow the submission requirements and upload options for your selected item.
1. Read the actual item requirements
Check the accepted file formats, file-size limits, number of images and subject or layout requirements on the item page. There is no universal format list, resolution threshold or upload limit on this page.
If you cannot find a requirement, ask before changing or submitting the file. Do not assume that a file suited to one format will suit another, or that several pets can be combined unless the listing offers that option.
2. Keep the original and prepare a separate submission file
Save the original separately. Use it where it meets the item requirements, rather than a screenshot or a social-media download. If a crop or format change is needed, save that version as a copy.
Open the intended submission file and check that it shows the right pet. Avoid adding decorative text, filters or watermarks unless the actual instructions request them. File preparation and layout suitability still need separate checks.
3. Review permission and private information
Use a photograph you own or have permission to reproduce for the intended piece. If a photographer created it, check that permission rather than assuming a purchased print includes reproduction rights.
Look for people, addresses, documents and other details unrelated to the piece. Remove unnecessary private information from a submission copy, while keeping the original safe. Read the Privacy Policy for the site's data information; this page does not set a storage or deletion period.
4. Match the photo to the personal details
Check names, spelling, dates and selected options separately from the image. For an item that accepts several pets, follow its instructions for identifying each subject and matching names to files.
Review Personalization for the personalization process. The team checks photos and details internally before production. If information is missing or unsuitable, the team contacts the order email. There is no standard customer design-proof approval stage.
For a question about information on the site, email [email protected]. Do not send unrelated sensitive information. Submit production photos through the upload option for your selected product or follow instructions provided by our support team.
